Deseret News Marathon, Half, 10k, and 5k
First run in 1970, the Deseret News Marathon is the oldest road race in Utah and the 4th oldest marathon west of the continental divide. The marathon follows the path the Utah pioneers traveled when they first entered the valley. This event is truly a part of Utah’s heritage!

TRANSPORTATION
Marathon Buses will pick up runners from Rice-Eccles Stadium promptly from 3:30 am – 3:45 am to shuttle runners to the start line location. These buses will be lined up along the west side of the stadium. It is your responsibility to arrive early enough to park and be seated on a bus in time to ride to the top of Big Mountain. Do not plan on driving to the top. The marathon starts at 5:30 a.m. After the race there will be shuttle buses at the finish line area lined up along 700 East of Liberty Park to transport runners back to their vehicles at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Due to the state holiday, the parade and the race route closures and traffic, these shuttle buses will take some time to make their rounds so plan accordingly.

For the Half Marathon Buses will pick up runners from Rice-Eccles Stadium from 4:15 a.m. – 4:45 a.m. to transport runners to the start line location. The buses will be lined up along the west side of Rice-Eccles stadium. Do not plan on driving to the start line as Emigration Canyon will be closed! All 10K runners need to get to Research Park at the University of Utah on their own. There are numerous parking lots around the area to park in, however as there is only one main road in and out of the Research Park and over 1,000 10k runners, be sure to arrive early to account for traffic. After the race, there will be shuttle buses lined up along 700 East of Liberty Park to transport runners back to their cars at Research Park. Due to the state holiday, the parade and the race route closures and traffic, these shuttle buses will take some time to make their rounds so plan accordingly.

For 5K Participants, They will need to park or be dropped off at the start line location by Wasatch Elementary School. There will be shuttle buses at the finish line area lined up along 700 East of Liberty Park to transport runners back to their vehicles at Wasatch Elementary. Due to the state holiday, the parade and the race route closures and traffic, these shuttle buses will take some time to make their rounds so plan accordingly.

Temple to Temple 5K Walk/Run
Please join us on July 24, 2018 for our 6th annual Temple to Temple run. Steve Lund and Elder Blake Roney would like to invite everyone to join us as we become the largest 5k race in the United States. We need 25,000 participants!

The Pioneer Day Temple to Temple 5K race begins at the Provo LDS temple and treks through the beautiful streets of Provo city, past the BYU campus, and to the new Provo City Center LDS temple.

The race begins at 8AM on July 24 – Pioneer Day! Festivities will continue until the last “pioneers” make it to the finish line. Run for free, get a shirt for $9, or a shirt and a race chip for $13. All participants must register.

We invite men, women, and children of all ages and running abilities to participate! Walk the 5K with your family, or even while pushing a stroller. We invite LDS members and non-members alike to join us on this historic day.

Legacy Midnight Run - Glow Stick Half Marathon
The Legacy Midnight Run is a Half Marathon, 10K, or 5K at night with Glow Sticks on the Legacy Parkway Trail System. The first of the Utah Glow Stick Runs and by far the largest with hundreds of runners participating. This is a great way to run in the heat of the summer with a 20 degree temp drop at night. Free glow sticks, bused Half Marathon Start, Diecast Finish medal in 2013, Tech T-Shirts, Stocked Aid Stations, Fun Finish, Special Awards for best lit runners. Great prizes.

Doxa Threelay
Dóxa (Greek for “glory”) is the first triathlon relay of it’s kind. In the past if you wanted to do a triathlon with friends or family you were forced to compete against them or only do one of the three legs. Dóxa provides you with the opportunity to team up with friends and family!

Each of the triathletes on your team can have a swim, bike, and run leg, or you can divide up the legs how you would like! You and your team will travel 285 miles from start to finish over a two day period of non-stop triathlon. The overnight triathlon relay is an unforgettable and incredible experience.

Dóxa is the perfect opportunity for you to participate in your first triathlon because you will be able to rest between each leg! It is also easier when you have 11 team mates making sure you give it all you got!

If you are a seasoned triathlete, compete with only a few friends or even try the Doxaman or Doxawoman Challenge by completing all 36 legs by yourself!

Dóxa starts at Starvation Reservoir in Duchesne, passes through Tabiona, Hanna, Jordanelle, Midway, Provo, Springville, Spanish Fork, Mona, Nephi, Fountain Green, Mt. Pleasant, Fairview, Huntington, and ends in Price Utah!

Be prepared to see some of the most beautiful scenery that Utah has to offer!

Harry Potter 5K-Muggles Battle Cancer
Muggles battle cancer with dragons! Did you know July 31 is Harry Potter's birthday? Come celebrate the "boy who lived" at our 5th annual party! Although the race begins at 7PM, the event starts at 6PM with plenty of things to do, including storytelling, silent auction, wand-making, face painting, s'mores, fishing, Quidditch toss, a sorting hat, and more. All proceeds will go to the Tyler Robinson Foundation (trf.org) in their mission to support families with the unforseen costs of pediatric cancer. It's going to be magical - Join us!

6th Annual--Anything for a Friend F2TF 5K
FRIENDS OLD AND NEW:

Many of you will be returning for the 6th Annual Anything for a Friend F2TF 5k. Returners are well aware of the story that brought this all together, but for those of you that are new, we would love to share the special story behind why we are doing what we are doing and the uniqueness of this 5k.

HISTORY:

6 years ago this coming May, this world lost a unique and special person and his name was Tyler Smith, he was only 15 years old when he died. Tyler waged a battle with an adult liver cancer that literally strikes one in a million kids. He was truly one in a million!

F2TF (Fight to the Finish) was Tyler’s mantra right from the beginning of his battle and has become part of his lasting legacy. That legacy is at the heart of this Annual 5k.

There has been an outpouring of sentiment, stories, and touching gestures surrounding the F2TF slogan and it has become a burning mission of Anything for a Friend to share Tyler’s message of fighting to the finish in a more powerful and widespread manner.

There is a clear and simple connection between the FIGHT TO THE FINISH battle cry and the conflict waged in the middle of a run. Tyler understood that everyone’s fight was different, but we all had a conscious decision to make, to stand up and fight, or sit down while life passed before our eyes. Life is beautiful and life is difficult, the Anything for a Friend F2TF 5K is about a conscious choice to FIGHT and persevere through the difficult challenges of life. This 5K brings together the true champions who have fought, are fighting, or have painfully desired to fight for another. It is a hallowed expression about the undeniable resilience of the human spirit; of our irrefutable need to garner HOPE when hope and peace seem distant! Thank you Tyler for teaching us about the power of fighting through the hard. We honor you and our loved ones in the 6th Annual Anything for a Friend F2TF 5K by truly REMEMBERING!

Not an early riser? Then join our "night owls" on Friday, July 27 for our Annnual Midnight Moon 5k Run. Yes at 12 am...so it will FEEL like a Fun Friday night! Potter Run 2018
Wizards and Witches are invited out for a magical 5K family fun run to remember. The Sixth Annual Potter Run and its the Snake's Year! ?Proceeds benefit Intermountain Healing Hearts. We invite you to race live with us in West Jordan, Utah or across the wizarding world in your wizard attire. Each Preregistered participant will receive the commemorative medal, which is the fourth part of a 4-year series. We are highlighting the Snakes this year. You can also order your special performance tech t-shirt in your registration (these can sell out). Last day to register for virtual run is July 24 and July 30 for the live event unless all the slots fill up. ?At the live race enjoy a chance to take pictures with your favorite Characters, play some Quidditch, meet live owls and snakes, and play on the castle playground. Kat'cina Mosa 100K Mountain-Challenge Run
A VERY, VERY challenging, difficult and scenic loop course through the Wasatch Mountains above Provo, Utah. About 42% will be on the same course as the Squaw Peak 50. These sections are Mile 2.1, Pole Heaven to mile 16.27, Rock Canyon and mile 24, just past Big Springs to mile 38.5 - Little Valley. The trail will be flagged just as well as the SP run. It will consist of - 48% dirt trails, 44% dirt roads and 8% paved. Elevation gain is 17,404 feet and loss is 17,404 ft. 13,000 FEET OF ELEV. GAIN BY MILE 28.5 IN 3 SEPERATE CLIMBS. THEN THE LAST HALF ONLY HAS ABOUT ANOTHER 4,000 FEET OF CLIMB

Bountiful Reverse Order Triathlon
Our 10th Annual Reverse Order Bountiful Triathlon will take place on Aug.4th this year. Our local Sponsor, Mike & Sterling's Flooring America will be hosting our event once again! We are so excited to see many familiar friends, athletes, and participants. We are also excited to add a Reverse novice distance to our event.

This event is a reverse order, sprint distance or Novice distance triathlon. The sprint course will start with a 5K run, transitioning into an 11 mile bike, and finishing back at the South Davis Recreation Center for a 350 yard indoor swim. The Novice portion will be approximately half the distance of our sprint distances in all the events. Our participants will receive finisher's medals as well as a wickify type unisex shirt. We have also partnered with World Joy Charity Organization, who will be on hand to help with volunteers along the race route. We will have overall and division 1st-3rd awards for participants.

Upon completion of the race, athetes will have a snack table with Food and water to refuel. This course has plenty of room for spectators to come and cheer the participants on so we invite our participants family members and friends to come share the moment with the athletes. We look forward to another great season of triathlon and hope you decide to join us! Dash for Donation
Please join us on August 4, 2018, for the Dash for Donation 5K run/2K walk. This year the Dash will be held in conjunction with the Donate Life Transplant Games. Because of the additional people that will be coming for the Games, we will be holding this event at the Utah State Fairpark, 155 N. 1000 W, Salt Lake City. The 5K will be officially timed this year, with medals for the top male and female finishers. If you are competitive, this is good news for you. If you prefer to take an easier pace and socialize with friends and family and pets on a leash, you are welcome to do that too.

An 11 mile run, walk, crawl up Bair Canyon and then a run down Farmington Canyon.

Race will take place on August 4, 2018, beginning at 6am.

"Do not even consider running this race, the OLDEST UTAH MOUNTAIN RACE and one of the truly ugly experiences in the annuals of mountain running, unless you either have a signature from a qualified sponsor or you know Martial Thirsk, Arne Hultquist, Eric Jensen, one of the Iverson Family, another wacko who has actually done the race, Doug from Glen's Tires, or Crazy Bob himself, when he lived (or maybe you've talked with him since that evil night he died, in which case you don't have to pay a registration fee, in which case we owe you). Consider this: snakes, no water, a king-hell curmudgeon for a race director, heat and a view that has no parallel after you make it past the truly infamous DEATH ROW. Yes, this is the race that no one has yet been able to run since 4,000 vertical feet in the first four miles and the total 11 -13 miles depending on the way you live your life is laden with rocks, creeks, floods, DEVASTATION, moral turpitude, and, at the end of your trial and tribulations, a watermelon or two, and a few canteloupes. Nothing more. No deals. No dancing girls. No coke machines on the trails. No mile markers. Nothing but blood, sweat and rattlesnakes. A dynamite t-shirt if you pre-register. If you're looking for something, this isn't the race for you. If you've already got it, then welcome."

Raspberry Days Run
The Raspberry Days Run has been a wonderful race for years, placed in an absolutely gorgeous setting. Bear Lake is known world-wide as the "Caribbean of the Rockies" due to it's signature turquoise colors: stunning emerald greens and blues! After the race, enjoy the Raspberry Days Festival!

Pre-registration is only $25. Registration will close at 400 runners. If the race is not full before, online registration will close on August 4th at 6:00 MDT. Race-day registration will be $30.

Packet pickup will be Friday from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Laketown Park and again race-morning from 7:00 am until 7:45 a.m.

The start and finish are at Laketown City Park.

$1 per runner will be donated to the cross country program at Rich High School. Go Rebels!
