Iron County Fair 5k
Get your family team together for the 2018 Iron County Fair 5K. We are hoping to see many families come out and participate in the 5k Run or 5k Walk with us this year.

Each family team can consist of any age or gender, but must have five runners. Each runner must be a part of that family.

The Family Race will be scored like a cross country race. Each team member will be awarded the number of points that corresponds with their age group placing. The family who finishes with the least number of points will be the winner! The winner will receive a prize as well as bragging rights for the next year.

The Iron County Fair 5K provides a fun positive experience for any age or ability. With over 200 participants in last year’s event, its easy to find someone to run or walk with at your pace. The Run/Walk takes place on Monday, September 3rd.

Starting times are as follows:

5K Walk begins at 8:00am
5k Run begins at 8:30am
The race starts at the entrance to the carnival and finishes on Main Street and 200 North.

Temple to Temple Steeplechase
Where your feet are firmly here on earth,
But your sights are lifted to the skies!

Come join our fabulous, family-friendly, five mile charity run.

The steeplechase is a sport
that began as a race through the countryside
from one church steeple to another
with natural obstacles to cross along the way.

Our steeplechase is a personal race
– a wonderful journey from temple to temple steeple –
with symbolic obstacles to cross along the way.

South Jordan is the first city in the world to have two LDS temples – Oquirrh Mountain and Jordan River. Come join our neighborhood 5 mile steeplechase between these two Angel Moroni-capped steeples. Open your eyes to the glories around you (sunrise, mountaintops, valley views, flowers). And learn that no steeplechase would be complete without a few obstacles to hurdle along the way (highways, canals, gutters, bumps). Find metaphors of life throughout the course of this inspiring Temple to Temple Steeplechase. Run or walk - but enjoy the journey!

Susan Sandoval Memorial 5K
Join Us for the 12th Annual Run!
When: Saturday September 8th, 2018
Where: Sugar House Park, Big Field Pavilion
(distance = 1.75 miles)
The Susan Sandoval 5K for Ovarian Cancer Awareness is an annual event that takes place each fall in Sugar House Park. The event is named in honor of Susan Sandoval, a nurse at LDS and Primary Children’s hospitals who battled ovarian cancer.

Beginning with 400 participants in 2007, the race continues to raise money each year for the Ovarian Cancer Education, Awareness, and Research Fund. The fund increases awareness of the risk factors and symptoms of gynecologic cancers and contributes to innovative research. Participation in the race not only honors Susan Sandoval’s memory, but also the struggles of all who have been touched by gynecologic cancer.

Both teams and individuals are welcome to take part in this event. We hope you will join us!

Cedar City Half Marathon
Run The Canyon 2018
The Cedar City Half Marathon is one of the most spectacular downhill closed-canyon runs anywhere and this year it's on Saturday, Sept. 8. The Cedar Canyon closed to all vehicular traffic and the race starts at 7 a.m. at Woods Ranch.

The crisp, canyon air rushing through Aspens and sounds of water trickling down Coal Creek, accompany runners as they wind their way through eons of geologic formations to the mouth of Cedar Canyon. Majestic sandstone pyramids mark the intersection of the Great Basin with the Rocky Mountain formations. This is where runners will transition from Highway 14 to Cedar City's trail system along Coal Creek through Canyon Park, Veterans Park, and the finish at Bicentennial Soccer Complex.
